ABOUT THE HOST
Mandated by the former Tourism and Industrial Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago (TIDCO), The Trinidad and Tobago Tour Guides’ Association (TTTGA) was established in October 1997. The Association under Trade Union regulations has the vision of standardising the service of our local Tour Guides as well as the information being disseminated, thereby increasing their professionalism and, by extension, uplifting the nation’s tourism product.
ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
This tour will begin from the point of pick up. Our tour Guide will be give the information, historical/cultural, of the various areas/community you will be travelling East and North to Matura Beach. At the beach you will be taken by a specialist guide to view leatherback turtles as they arrive nightly to lay their eggs. You will witness the guides as they work on tagging, measuring and recording each turtle as it arrives. This is a night tour which begins at 5PM and returns at approximately 12AM.
